The African Honey Bee Extension & Education Program (AFBEE) is an extension and education cooperation between the University of Florida and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Plant Industry geared toward producing and distributing information about the African honey bee in Florida. We appreciate your patience as the site is being frequently updated.

On Monday, May 5th at 4:14, Dr. Bill Kern along with bee removal specialists Richard Martyniak and Jon Simkins will give an African bee workshop at the Southeast Pest Management Conference. Registration is required. Visit the conference's website for more information.

January 9, 2008: UF Bee College and Master Beekeeper Program!

March 13-15, 2008 at the Mid-Florida Research and Education Center (MREC) in Apopka, FL. The UF Honey Bee Research and Extension Lab is hosting the first annual Bee College and start of the Master Beekeeper Program; both to be held at the MREC in Apopka, FL.
